State Senator Win Stoller (R-Germantown Hills) issued the following statement after the Senate passed House Bill 370, which repeals the Parental Notice of Abortion (PNA) Act of 1995 with a 32-22 vote:
“The Democrats’ decision to repeal the Parental Notice of Abortion Act is an attack on parents’ rights that is both dangerous and illogical.
“In Illinois, a minor cannot pierce their ears or even receive aspirin from a school nurse without the consent of their parents. Yet, the Democrat majority just voted to allow a minor to undergo a very serious healthcare procedure without their parents ever knowing.”
