Stoller Launches Valentine’s For Seniors Program

To help uplift the spirits of long-term care facility residents, State Senator Win Stoller (R-Germantown Hills) is collecting Valentine’s Day cards for his newly introduced Valentine’s For Seniors Program.

“The residents of our senior homes have had limited access to visitors and contact with the outside world over the last year because of COVID-19,” said Sen. Stoller. “Even though all of the restriction are in the best interest of keeping them safe, it has led to a very difficult year and has left them feeling cutoff from the outside world.”

Stoller is encouraging churches, schools, and community members of the 37th Senate District to write Valentine’s Day cards that can be dropped off or mailed to his district office. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to the various long-term care facilities that make up the district.

“I truly hope that this program can bring joy to these residents and reinforces the fact that despite not being able to see and interact with friends and family members as much as they would like, there are still people out there that love and care about them,” said Sen. Stoller.

The collection of Valentine’s Day cards will run through Wednesday, February 10. Those wishing to participate will have the option to either mail their card or drop it off. For those choosing in-person delivery, please remember to maintain social distancing and to wear a mask when entering the office.
